Joseph A. Overton, 53, of DeKalb died June 10, 2023 at his home.He was born on October 9, 1969 in Sycamore, IL. He was the son of Harold and Lavena (Lee) Overton.

Joseph was employed at DHL Logistics for several years.

He loved spending time with his daughter and granddaughter and many years ago he liked to fish and go canoeing.

Survivors include, daughter (Tiara), granddaughter (Ryley), brother (Mike), nephew (Clint), great nieces (Emma & Harper) and long time girlfriend (Gwen & her son Anthony).

He was preceded in death by his father (Harold "Bub"), mother (Lavena), sister-in-law (Valarie) .

A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, June 24th from 2:00-4:00 PM at the Butala Funeral Home and Crematory in Sycamore.
