John E. Patton, 67, of Hodgkins, IL originally of Sycamore, IL died on April 22, 2024 at his home.

He was born on August 21, 1956 in Sycamore, where he was also raised. He married Helene Santoria on October 29, 1983.  They resided in Lombard, IL for nearly 30 years.  He was employed for the Oak Park Schools as a custodian for over 20 years.

John was a huge sports fan, loved riding his Harley, enjoyed action movies and watching/learning from different animal kingdom programs.

Survivors include his wife Helene, daughter Carrie (Joseph) Warning, daughter Charleen (Patrick) Shea, son Marcus (Molly) Patton, brothers and sisters: Robert (Terry) Patton, Sherl Hamilton, Debbie Davis, Diana West, Terry (Mary) Patton, Dennis Patton, Muriel Patton, Mike Patton, four treasured grandchildren, along with two more great grandchildren, and dozens of nieces and nephews.  He also leaves behind some great friends, who meant the world to him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Betty (Overton) Graham and Howard Graham, brother Roger Patton, sister Christine Werner, and his niece Tasha Patton

His memorial visitation will be on Sunday, April 28th from 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM at the Butala Funeral Home, 1405 DeKalb Ave., Sycamore, IL.
