Obituary

John H. Faulhaber, 80, of Genoa, IL died on Thursday, June 16, 2022 at St. Anthony Medial Center in Rockford.

He was born on September 17, 1941 in Chicago.  The son of Frederick and Audrey (Reynolds) Faulhaber. He married Joann T. Braun on Oct. 7, 1967.
John was a veteran of the US Navy, serving during the Vietnam Era.  He was a police officer for Bedford Park, retiring after 30 years of service.
John was a model railroad enthusiast.  He volunteered at the Illinois Railway Museum in Union for over 10 years, helping in the electric car department.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Joann; two sons, John Thomas (Debbie) Faulhaber and James Faulhaber; his granddaughter, Taryn Angela; sister, Phoebe Watts; and several nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Bill Faulhaber.
His visitation will be on Thursday, June 23rd from 5:00-8:00 PM at the Slater-Butala Funeral Home of Genoa, IL.
A private burial will be at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL.
