Joann Mikenis' Obituary
JoAnn Mikenis, 55, of Rochelle died on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at the Sandwich Rehab and Health Care Center.
She was born on July 11, 1966 in Chicago to William and Diane (Thomas) Mikenis, Sr.
She was kind and loving while she faced a lot of obstacles in her life, but remained strong through them all. JoAnn was very smart, she received her Bachelors degree from Lewis University.
JoAnn loved animals, spending time with her loved ones and was an avid fan of Harry Styles.
Survivors include her mother, Diane Mikenis; sister, Donna Wolf; brother, Billy Mikenis Jr; nieces, Kyria Wolf, Hailey and Leah Mikenis; her
uncle, Don Thomas; aunt, Andrea Thomas, and several cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father, William Mikenis Sr; grandparents, Ann and Willard Thomas and Josephine Mikenis; and several aunts and uncles.
Her visitation will be on Friday, June 3rd from 4:30-7:30 PM at the Butala Funeral Home and Crematory, 1405 DeKalb Ave, Sycamore, IL. with a prayer service beginning
at 5:30 PM.
