Joan K. Harrison's Obituary
Joan K. Harrison, 86, of Marengo died January 8, 2023 at the Lincolnshire Place in Sycamore.
She was born on August 13, 1936 in DeKalb to Menno and Dorothy (Abraham) Boomgarden. She married Robert Lee Harrison on February 28, 1957.
Joan was a very crafty lady. She loved to quilt, crochet and enjoyed spending time in her garden. Her favorite thing to do was to be with her family, especially her grandchildren
and great grandchildren. She will be dearly missed.
Survivors include her 3 daughters, Tammy Harrison of Genoa, Jody Harrison of Marengo and Penny (Forrest) Meranda of Walworth, WI; her four grandchildren, Jade (Jarrod) Braddy, Jordan (Erica) Schultz, Jennifer Schultz and Matthew Meranda; 5 great grandchildren,
Juniper, Julien, Jaycie and Jory Braddy and Grayson Schultz.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Robert.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Lincolnshire Place for their compassion and kindness toward their loving mother.
Her visitation will be on Tuesday, Jan. 10th from 4:00-7:00 PM at the Slater-Butala Funeral Home of Genoa, IL.
A private graveside will be held at the Genoa Cemetery.
