Jim Vavroch, 81, of Sycamore, IL died April 26, 2024 at his home.

He was born on August 27, 1942 in Davenport, IA to Thomas and Gladys (Cooper) Vavroch.  He married Sammy Gay Palsgrove on May 8, 1998.

Jim worked for Oak Industries in Crystal Lake as a senior purchasing agent for 18 years.  He was the owner and manufacturing rep for Vavco Rep Agency in Crystal Lake for 10 years and later worked at Siemens (Flender Division) in Elgin as a traffic manager for 11 years.

Jim loved the outdoors.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting and was the Range Officer at the Sycamore Sportsman's Club for many years.

Survivors include his children, Kevin (Jennifer) Vavroch, Stephanie Kaiser,  Rob (Melanie) LaClair, Christopher (Suzanne) LaClair and Mary Beth LaClair (Brian Reis); and five grandchildren, Joshua and Kayden Vavroch, Margo, Jasper and Eden LaClair.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Sammy in 2013; and his 2 sisters, Shirley (Sam) in 2002 and Patricia in 2012.

His graveside service and burial will be Saturday, June 8, 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Elmwood Cemetery, 901 S. Cross Street in Sycamore, IL.
