Jeremy John Pugh, age 48, of Genoa, IL died suddenly of a heart attack on Saturday, April 4, 2020 at Kishwaukee Hospital.
He was born January 31, 1972 in Hart, MI to Roger and Twila (Olson) Pugh. He married His loving wife Deirdre Ruth Gieseler on August 24th,1996
Jeremy worked for the U.S. Postal Service for about 23 three years. Of that time, He spent almost 16 years in post office management. Most recently he was Postmaster at the Huntley, IL. Post office. Additionally, during that same period of time, he was the beloved Youth & Children's Pastor at Living Stone Christian Church in Aurora, Illinois for over 18 years.
He always worked hard pursuing excellence in everything he did. Jeremy was a devoted husband, loving and exemplary father and fun loving loyal family member in the midst of his immediate and extended family. But above all else, Jeremy was a devout and faithful servant of the Lord Jesus Christ. There is no doubt that heavens gates opened wide, to receive one of her favorite sons, at the event of his home going.
Jeremy loved playing games with his family, fishing with His son, daughters, brothers, uncles and just about anyone else he could get to go with him. Most of all He Loved the Holidays, family vacations and making memories. Many in the family called him Mr. Christmas from the time he was just a boy. He would often say "Never miss an opportunity to make a memory."
Jeremy is survived by his beloved wife Deirdre, his five children, Jeremiah 21, Abigail 19, Brook 17, Leah 13 and Madelyn 9 years of age, a sister Tasha L. Pugh (Jeff) Wittes of Maineville, Ohio, two brothers, Aaron L. (Lori) Pugh of Lowell Michigan, and Joel R. (Natalie) Pugh of Greentown, Indiana, an Uncle Gary W. (Kelly) Olson of Maumee, Ohio, two aunts, Sheryl C. Olson (Jerry) Gray of Wolcottville, Indiana and Teresa I. Olson (Charles) Girardot, 6 cousins,19 nieces and nephews and 17 grand nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Earl H, Pugh and Helen Pearl McKinley, his maternal grandparents Wilbur and Ione (Nelson) Olson, his brother Cary L. Pugh, his aunt Anita Olson, his cousin Mylette M. (McAlees) Simon, his Uncle Joe McAlees, and his Grandniece Lillie R. Miller.
