Obituary

Jerald F. Schroyer, Sr., 88, of Warrenville died on March 3, 2023 at the Pavillion On Main Street in Sandwich, IL.

He was born on September 30, 1934 in Geneva to Alvin Isaiah and Mary Irene (Wenmoth) Schroyer.  He married Lorraine Snyder on May 20, 1961.
Jerald was a veteran of the U.S. Army.  He served from 1957-1959,  attaining the rank of Sergeant.
He was lifetime member of the Batavia Moose Lodge, a  3-time Governor at the Naperville Moose Lodge, 4-H Leader for over 20 years and member of St. Irene Church in Warrenville- where he served as an usher.
After retirement, Jerald became an avid latch-hook rug maker.
Survivors include his 6 children,  Lori Demos, Cora (Ronald) Day, Jerald (Karen) Schroyer, Jr., John Schroyer, Katrina (Jeffery) Perazzolo and Michael (Michelle) Schroyer; 16 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren and one on the way;  one sister, Carol Wilson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Lorraine in 2008; his granddaughter, Brandi-Lynn Perazzolo; and one brother, Alvin "Keith" Schroyer.
His visitation will be on Thursday, March 9th from 5:00-8:00 PM at the Butala Funeral Home, 1405 DeKalb Ave., Sycamore, IL. 60178.
A military graveside service will be on Friday, March 10th  at 10:00 AM at River Hills Memorial Park Cemetery, 1650 S. River St., Batavia, IL. 60510.
