Jennifer L. Dick, 46, born in Elgin February 15,1974 tragically passed away on January 13, 2021. After suffering a stroke, she was lost to this world and her final wishes were carried out by donating the gift of life to those in need.

Jennifer was educated at Larkin High and was a member of Job's Daughters growing up. She worked as many things in her life from Claire's to security to managing at Woodman's, but was seemingly happiest when getting to work side by side with her husband at the liquor store in Genoa where they lived. Loving the thrill of the sale, Jennifer was also fond of hosting garage sales and eventually this love transitioned into selling Paparazzi Jewelry, which introduced her to new friends and online communities. Jennifer loved cooking, fishing, playing cards with her friends and family and most of all beating her kids at Monopoly.

Jennifer was driven to dabble in many joys of this life. She spent her time trying out her hand at all manner of ventures, always making friends and happy memories along the way, but no activity gave her more joy or pride than being a mother. She devoted her life to this endeavor and when her nest was empty, her motherly drive led her to seek out others who could benefit from her love and friendship. She was a beloved Wife, Mother, Daughter, Sister, and Friend; and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Jennifer is survived by her husband, James Dick; children, Michael Sieradzki (Brittany Sieradzki), Brandon Paradies, Annabella Paradies, Garrett Dick, Trevor Dick; Father, Bruce Collins; Siblings, Allison Koutsogiannis (George Koutsogiannis), Heather Crane (Thomas Crane), Kara Gruber, Jesse Gessner; and her nieces and nephews.

Jennifer was preceded in death by her mother, Joanne Collins, grandmother, Marilyn Shattuck, and her children born into the arms of angels; Samantha, Nicholas, Robert, James Jr., Sara.

A walk through visitation will be on Monday, Jan. 18th from 11:00 am- 2:00 pm at the Slater-Butala Funeral Home, 132 W. Main St., Genoa, IL.  Facial coverings and social distancing will be enforced and 10 guests will be allowed in the funeral home at one time according the the IDPH guidelines.

All are welcome to attend a graveside service on Monday, Jan. 18th at 2:30 pm at the Genoa Cemetery.
