Jeffrey Neil Wagley, 69, of Sycamore, IL passed away August 31, 2024 in Evanston, IL.

He was born on May 31, 1955 in Sycamore, IL to Richard and June (Larson) Wagley.

Jeffrey, a Sycamore native spent many years as the owner/operator of Scalawags in Sycamore IL. He later continued his education at NIU and received his master's in anthropology with a focus on linguistics.

A caring father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend to many, he embraced the life he made for himself and his family. Jeff was able to see the calm through the storm and he would always find humor along the way.

He was preceded in death by his and his brother-in-law, John McCormick.

He is survived by his sons Adam and Scott, granddaughter Ella, siblings Jane, Dick(Mary) and their children.

He learned as much as he could while he was here, now he is an explorer forever.

His memorial visitation will be on Thursday,  October 3, 2024 from 3:00-6:00 PM at the Butala Funeral Home in Sycamore.
