Jean Hampton's Obituary
Jean Hampton, 92, of Sycamore died Monday, February 7, 2022 at the DeKalb County Rehab and Nursing Center.
She was born on April 26, 1929 in Peach Orchid, MO to John and Zenith (Healey) Byrd. She married Alvin Hampton on July 2, 1944.
Jean worked at Duplex Products for over 25 years and will be dearly missed.
Survivors include her 4 sons, Mike Hampton, Rick Hampton, Tom (Karen) Hampton and David (Lori) Hampton; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; 2 sons, Larry and Jerry; 2 daughters, Sandra and Penny; and 6 grandchildren.
Her visitation will be on Thursday, February 10th from 11:30 AM-12:30 PM at the Butala Funeral Home, 1405 DeKalb Ave., Sycamore, IL. 60178.
Her funeral service will begin at 12:30 PM on Thursday at the funeral home with Rev. Steven Persson officiating. Burial will be at Fairview Park Cemetery in DeKalb.
