JANE RUPPENTHAL

Died:  October 3, 2022 in Sycamore IL

Jane M. Ruppenthal passed away on October 3, 2022.  She was born at McNeal Hospital in Berwyn IL and adopted 2 days later by the late Eldon Bourassa and his wife Helen who worked as a nurse there at McNeal hospital.

Jane married Kurt Ruppenthal and had two sons Jeff and Dan who now reside in FL.  She was a proud mother to them and loved attending all of their athletic activities and hosting pool parties at their home in Rochelle.

She is survived by her mother, Helen Cravens, and her siblings, Carol Fetzner, Mary Hodel and Thomas Bourassa.

She was a dedicated employee at Kenzley Title Group, Inc. in Rochelle for much of her life.   Jane enjoyed various crafting activities including needlepoint and especially crocheting.  She always had a blanket in the making for someone.   Jane was appreciated by her neighbors for her willingness to teach and share her crafting skills and for playing games with them.  Her resilience in the face of her medical issues was extraordinary.  She was a wonderful cat mom to her loyal cat, Smalls.

A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, Oct. 30th at Butala Funeral Home, 1405 DeKalb Ave., Sycamore, IL. The service will begin at 1:30 PM with a visitation to follow until 5:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Sycamore Fire Department, 535 DeKalb Ave., Sycamore, IL. 60178.
