Jane F. Holda, 87, formerly of Mt. Prospect, died on January 8, 2023, at the DeKalb County Rehab and Nursing Center.

She was born on January 10, 1935, in Chicago to Joseph and Lottie (Ancerowicz) Jaczak.  She married Henry J. Holda on May 4, 1963, and was loving mother to Joseph (Cynthia, nee Fleming) and grandmother to Emily (Freddy) Coba, Nathan, Benjamin, and Sarah Holda.

Jane and Henry were married for forty-four years and enjoyed spending time with their family and traveling together. She was a long-time member of St. Cecelia's Catholic Church in Mt. Prospect and was very devout in her faith.  Prior to having her son, Jane worked for Harris Bank and later as a cook at Forest View High School in Arlington Heights.  She enjoyed fishing with her husband, taking cruises, and playing Canasta and other card games.  She had a quick wit and a great sense of humor, and she will be greatly missed by those who knew her.

Jane is survived by her son, daughter-in-law, and grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and siblings Stanley Jaczak, Zigmund (Helen) Jaczak, Ted Jaczak, and Mary Arnold.

Her visitation will be on Friday, January 13th from 9:30-11:30 AM at the Butala Funeral Home, 1405 DeKalb Ave., Sycamore, IL 60178.

Burial will follow at the Resurrection Cemetery in Justice, IL.
