James A. Blair's Obituary
James A. Blair, 78, of Sycamore died Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at Delnor Hospital in Geneva.
He was born on May 19, 1943 in Oak Park to Arlo and Evelyn Blair. He married Linda Kirby on August 19, 1973.
James was a veteran of the US Army. He was a farmer in the Sycamore area and worked at NIU in the material management department for 22 years.
He loved to be around people and never met a stranger. Every morning he would meet his friends at Shawn's Coffee Shop in Sycamore and enjoyed good conversations.
Survivors include his wife, Linda; sister, Maryjean Hammann; two nieces, Debbie (Don) Love and Beth (Kevin) Thomas; nephew, Al (Donna) Hammann; many nieces and nephews; and his fur babies, Milkshake, Jamie, Bingo and Lola.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
His memorial visitation will be on Monday, Oct. 25th from 4:00-6:00 PM at the Butala Funeral Home and Crematory in Sycamore.
A graveside service will be on Tuesday, Oct. 26th at 11:00 AM at the Elmwood Cemetery, Sycamore, IL.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the family in care of the Butala Funeral Home and Crematory, 1405 Dekalb Ave., Sycamore, IL. 60178.
