Ignacio "Nick/Nacho"
Casares
Feb 1, 1935 — Mar 24, 2025
February 1, 1935 - March 24, 2025.
On March 24th Ignacio "Nick/Nacho" Casares, 90, went to heaven to be with his parents.
He was the son of Nicolas and Anselma Casares and grew up in Texas. He traveled extensively throughout the United States for work. He ultimately settled down in Hampshire, Illinois when he met his wife.
He is survived by his wife Virginia "Ginny" (Cole) of 56 years, two sons Bryan (Aya) and Nicolas "Ching" (Brandie); two step children Patrick (Theresa) Smith, and Robbie Smith; his beloved sister Dora and her family; sixteen grandchildren and twenty eight great grandchildren.
He is preceded by his parents Nicolas and Anselma and step daughter Wendy Klaus.
Throughout his life, family was the most important and cherished thing to him. Over the years he helped out countless people including family, friends and strangers. He would literally give you the shirt off his back, his last dollar or a place to live. He was kind, generous, funny, hard working and tough. Although his last couple of months were hard, he still kept his sense of humor. Always asking if we brought cold beer with a smile. We will always remember the good times and memories. We love you Nacho!!
