Gia Marie Sarros, age 38, beloved wife and mother died peacefully in her sleep on Thursday March 30th. She was surrounded by family and friends in her final days and hours and was welcomed to Heaven by her grandmother Santina and father Carmen, along with other dearly departed family who loved her so much.

She was born on December 14, 1984 in Berwyn, IL. to Carmen and Patricia (Maurino) Freda.  She married Andy Sarros in 2005, and had one daughter Santina Carmella Sarros in 2012 who was the light of Gia's life. Gia worked as a dental assistant for several years prior to giving birth and devoting her life to raising her daughter. She loved dancing, watching movies, and most of all enjoying time with her family.

She is survived by her husband Andy Sarros, and daughter Santina Sarros, mother Patti Freda, brother Brad Freda, niece Diana Marie Freda, aunt Judy Abraham, cousin Tea Rose Abraham, aunt Patricia Scilingo, Grandparents Carmen Freda Sr. and Connie Freda, along with numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by Carmen Freda Jr., Joe Gezik Jr., Ralph Freda, Joe Gezik Sr., Angela (Cookie) Gezik (Scilingo) Santina Eve Maurino (DiOrio) Peter Paul Maurino, Carmella Freda, Anthony Scilingo, and Joanne Sartori.

Her visitation will be on Tuesday, April 4, from 4:00-8:00pm at the Butala Funeral Home, 1405 DeKalb Ave., Sycamore, IL 60178.

Her funeral mass will be on Wednesday, April 5, at 9:30am at the St. Odilo Catholic Church, 2244 East Ave, Berwyn, IL 60402.  Following the mass there will be a graveside service at Mt. Carmel Catholic Cemetery in Hillside, IL.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made for the Huntington's Disease Society of America ( HDSA.org ), or prepared envelopes available at the service to find a cure.
