Obituary

Georgia Lee Price passed away at her home on March 8, 2026.

She was born on August 27, 1944, to George LeRoy and Maxine Elizabeth (Lewis) Naylor.  She married Ralph Edward Price on June 4, 1966.

She worked for the National Railroad Adjustment Board in Chicago and then worked as a school bus driver in Wauconda, Illinois.

Georgia graduated from Northern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Music Education.  She had a passion for music.  In addition to working in various offices at NIU, she was able to teach piano through the Community Music School.

Georgia was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, where she played the organ and conducted choirs for many years.  She taught religious classes for children, teens and adults.

She also enjoyed gardening and especially liked to raise roses, her favorite flower.  She found peace in crocheting, sewing clothes for herself and others, and in crewel and cross-stitch embroidery.

Survivors include her husband, Ralph Edward Price, their daughter, Melodye Lyn Price, and her sister, Rose Maree Hammer.

After cremation, her burial will take place in Malad, Idaho.
