Genevieve M. Lindstrom, 106, of Sycamore died Sunday, March 27, 2022 at Kishwaukee Hospital in DeKalb.

She was born on May 26, 1915 in Owen, WI. to Edwin and Ethel Myers.

Genevieve worked at Wylde & Son - the hardware men store in Sycamore back in the 1950's for many years.

She always enjoyed gardening in her yard even after she turned 100. When asked what her secret was for being so active at her age she would just say you just have to keep moving.

Genevieve was a strong, independent lady who sometimes told it like it was but had a beautiful soul. She left an impression on many and if she let you get to know her you grew to love her.

She volunteered at the Sycamore Community Center- calling Bingo for over 7 years and was a member of the prayer shawl ministry team at the Sycamore United Methodist Church for many years.

Her visitation will be on Tuesday, April 5th from 10:00-11:00 AM at the United Methodist Church, 160 Johnson St., Sycamore, IL.  Her funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM with Rev. Daniel Swinson officiating.

Burial will be at the Elmwood Cemetery in Sycamore.
