Gayle M. Lindbeck (Martin), 79, of Sycamore died October 17, 2025 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on November 19, 1945 in Chicago to Harold and Katherine Ardath (Bolz) Martin.  She married Carl Stephen Lindbeck on September 11, 1965.

Gayle graduated from DePaul University and worked as a legal secretary, after staying home to raise her children.  She resumed work for a social service agency for 28 years.  She was a homebody who loved being with her family, especially her grandchildren and her great granddaughter.  She will forever be known for being the 'fast food queen'.

Survivors include her daughter Nicole Joanne Boddy (Mike) of Sycamore; her grandchildren Sabrina Gandsey of Genoa City, WI, Sierra (Ian) Engel, Morgana (Travis) Randall, Quinton Gandsey, Madisyn Boddy, and Griffin Gandsey all of Sycamore; one great granddaughter  Genevieve Engel; her sister Marilyn (Tony) Caputo of Mokena, IL; and sister-in-law Barbara Martin of Madison, WI.

She was  preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son Stephen Carl Lindbeck; and her brother James F. Martin.

A memorial visitation will be on Friday, October 24th from 4:00-6:00 PM at the Butala Funeral Home, 1405 DeKalb Ave., Sycamore, IL.
