Frankie (Mary F.) Russell, 86, of Sycamore, IL. died on Thursday, November 3, 2022 at St. Anthony's Medical Center in Rockford.

She was born on March 22, 1936 in Louisville, KY to Raymond and Linda (Arnold) Gallahue.  She married James R. Russell on June 21, 1958 in Louisville, KY.
Frankie was a faithful member of the Church of St. Mary in Sycamore and active in the Altar Guild. She made a variety of crafts and was an exceptional seamstress.
She was a personal banker and senior group coordinator at the National Bank and Trust in Sycamore, retiring after 25 years of service.
Survivors include her 2 sons, James R. Russell, Jr. and Scott (Jennifer) Russell; 11 grandchildren, Leanna, Jamie, Elizabeth, Timothy, Dennis, John Paul, Andrew, Rebecca, Thomas, Anna and Joseph; 4 great grandchildren, Isla, Anna, Gwenyvere and Philip; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband and 4 siblings, Raymond, Edward, Kenneth and Betty.
Her visitation will be on Sunday from 3:00-7:00 PM at the Butala Funeral Home of Sycamore, with a prayer service beginning at 2:30 PM.
A funeral mass will be on Monday, Nov. 7th at 10:30 AM at the Church of St. Mary, 244 Waterman St., Sycamore, IL. with Fr. William Etheredge officiating.
Burial will be at a later date at Cave Hill Cemetery in Louisville, KY.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Church of St. Mary in Sycamore, IL. in care of the Butala Funeral Home, 1405 DeKalb Ave., Sycamore, IL. 60178.
