Frank L. Riccardi, 65, of Sycamore died Monday, February 24, 2020 at Kishwaukee Hospital in DeKalb.

He was born August 29, 1954 in Chicago to Frank L. and Marie L. (Genatempo) Riccardi.  He married Suzanne Smith on April 2, 1978.

He was deeply passionate about music and loved to perform. He was a lover of trains, big and small, especially his Lionel models. Most of all, he had an unwavering loyalty to his family and friends.

Frank was the owner of Riccardi's Redhots & Soda Fountain in Sycamore, IL.

Survivors include his wife, Suzanne Riccardi; his sons, Joseph Riccardi and Anthony (Sally) Riccardi; 2 grandchildren Milo and Pele and his brother, Ronald (Susan) Riccardi.

He was preceded in death by his son, Francis Riccardi.

His visitation will be on Saturday, Feb. 29th from 1:00-3:00 PM at the Butala Funeral Home and Crematory, 1405 DeKalb Ave. in Sycamore, IL. 60178.    A memorial service will begin at 3:00 PM.
