Flossie Carol Smith, 90, of Kirkland, IL passed away on October 8, 2023 in DeKalb, IL.

She was born on February 12, 1933 in Park City, KY.  The daughter of the late Alton Reynolds and Golden Foster Gray.

Flossie was a bookkeeper for the Hiawatha School District for many years.

Survivors include her daughters, Sheri Decker (Bob) of Genoa and Debbie Armstrong (Rick) of Cortland; grandchildren, Brittany Tewksbury (John) of Genoa, Lindsay Bridge (Jonathan) of Sycamore and Derek Armstrong (Erin) of Plainfield; and great grandchildren, Hayden and Kip Tewksbury, Lyra Bridge, Clara, Barrett and Sutton Armstrong.

She was preceded in death by her mother, father, two step fathers, Fred Beckner and Hershel Gray; her two husbands, Stan Thomas and Russell Laverne Smith; and sisters, Juanita Jordan White and Audrey Maxine Sanders.

The family would like to send a special Thank You to Dr. Thakkar and the staff at the Bethany Rehab and Nursing Center in DeKalb- especially to her nurse, Kara- you are one in a million!

Services will be private.
