Evelyn Louise (Meyers) Aska, 90, of Sycamore died January 4, 2025 at the DeKalb County Rehab and Nursing Center.

She was born June 13, 1934 in Ottawa, IL to John and Harriet (Ward) Meyers.  She married Stanley L. Aska on May 2, 1953 in Ottawa,  IL.  Evelyn graduated from Ottawa High School in 1952.

She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, singing in the choir for many years.

Survivors include one daughter, Cheryl (Les) Smith of Sycamore,  two sons,  Larry (Mona) Aska of Caledonia and Lenny (Cheryl) Aska of Clare; 8 grandchildren, Ryan (Laura) Smith,  Scott (Leslie) Aska, Lynn (Tim) Mrazek, Mark (Tiffany) Aska, Jenny (Keith) Rayna, Stacey (Andy) Miller, Lisa (Seth) Wogen,  Kim Aska; 19 Great Grandchildren, Katie, Tony, Aubrey, Lana, Jackson,  Malia, Lyanna, Rylee, Wesley, Paisley, Jaxson,  Haylo, Lincoln, Liam, Jayden,  Hadyn, Chase, Mackenzie,  and Lele; one brother,  Robert (Joann) Meyers of OK, two sisters,  Shirley Yednock of TX, Sandy (Joe) Stone of Ottawa.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband,  Stanley Aska, son, Michael Aska, granddaughter, Stephanie, great grandson, Layne Miller, brother,  Donald Meyers, sisters, Betty Hickey and Sharon Nicholson.

Her visitation will be Friday, January 10th from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM at St. John Lutheran Church, 26555 Brickville Road, Sycamore,  IL.  The funeral service will begin at 12:15 PM.

Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery in Sycamore.
