Eric G. Johnson's Obituary
Eric G. Johnson, 79, of Genoa, formerly of Chicago, passed away Saturday, March 20, 2021 at his home.
He was born on July 13, 1941, in Chicago to Eric H. and Myrtle (Anderson) Johnson.
Eric married Holly M. Wilkowski on November 25, 1961.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Eric will be missed dearly by his family and friends.
Eric is survived by his wife of 59 years, Holly; his 3 children, Eric R. (Tammy) Johnson, Deborah (Rich) Embry, and Wayne Johnson; his 4 grandchildren, Jeremy, Jalen, Megan, and Kyle; his sister-in-law, Cynthia Bonea; one nephew and four nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister Donna Pomierski; sister-in-law, Gail Baggot; and brother-in-law, Robert Baggot.
His visitation will be on Saturday, March 27th from 10:00 AM- 12:30 PM for family and friends at the Slater-Butala Funeral Home, 132 W. Main St, Genoa, IL 60135. All Covid-19 restrictions will be followed according to the IDPH.
A memorial service and burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorials for Eric Johnson can be made to his family to determine a charity at a later date in care of the Slater-Butala Funeral Home of Genoa.
