Obituary

Eileen H. Singer, 88, of Pingree Grove, IL. died peacefully on February 19, 2023 at her home.

She was born on October 20, 1934 in Chicago to William and Hjordis Boam.  She married Robert Singer on June 25, 1955.  Eileen worked as a secretary for Fermilab for over 10 years.
Eileen was a wonderful homemaker.  She enjoyed baking, sewing and knitting. Her family will always treasure the sweaters and baby items that she made.  The love she had for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren will live on in their memory forever.
Survivors include her three children, Susan (Terry) Mickow, Cary (Kay) Singer and Alan (Carla) Singer; her grandchildren, Kristen Sandelin, Justin Mickow, Darcy Mickow, Robert Singer, Kimberly Shearer, Steven Singer, Amber Singer, Jennifer Topping, Rachel Bloodworth, Jessica Koester, Austin Smith and Kiley Greenbush; and numerous great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Evelyn, Judy and Lori and her brother, Bill.
Her visitation will be on Saturday, February 25th from 9:00-11:00 AM at the Butala Funeral Home, 1405 DeKalb Ave., Sycamore, IL.  A funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM with Rev. Joe Munro officiating.
Burial will be at Mt. Emblem Cemetery in Elmhurst, IL.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital ( stjude.org ) in care of the Butala Funeral Home, 1405 DeKalb Ave., Sycamore, IL. 60178.
