Dylan Rael Forston, 39, a life long resident of Sycamore, died on May 7, 2022.
Dylan was born on November 30, 1982 to Deanne and Rodney Forston at the Homestead Air Force Base in Florida where he joined his older bother, Gabriel Forston.
Dylan married Brittney Brackman and they have an 11 year old son, Xayden Forston and 4 year old, Zahlia Forston. He is also survived by 2 step daughters, Aliyha Burnham and Farrah Breyer and his maternal grandmother, Ann H. Banas.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Starla; cousin, Becky Westlake; grandfather, Chester Banas; grandparents, Bill and Mary Kirby; and four uncles, Adrian Banas, Chester M. Banas, Rich Bryant and Bill Vaszily.
30 years ago, Dylan and his cousin Becky Westlake were part of a Sycamore Southeast school field trip to Chicago's O'Hare Airport when we lost her. Many friends passed away after that.
Dylan thought he was a rich spoiled kid growing up so he would volunteer services, including DeKalb food pantry where he would take his son Xayden with him. He enjoyed helping others.
Dylan played baseball, football and soccer. He was a swimmer on the DeKalb County swim team in 1992. Hanging stuck on the Spider's Web Wall of Velco Wednesday, July 13, 1994. Dylan enjoyed extreme sports- like snowboarding, bungee jumping and skateboarding. He built two skateboard half pipes and the second one was dismantled and reassembled at the Fargo Skateboarding Indoor Skate Park. He ran in at least 8 marathons from 2013-2019, including the Pumpkin Run, Turkey Trot and the Independence Day Run.
In 2003, he traveled to Stonehenge, Gladstone Villas, Forston (this is the ancestry home of the Forston's), Dorchester and Dorset England. In 2005, he was in a rock band with R.J. Salisbury, Nick Jaime and Heath Humes and took up bass and piano.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, June 26th at 2:00 PM at the Bethel Assembly of God, 131 W. Elm Street, Sycamore, IL. We would love to see you all!
