He was born Nov. 28, 1954 in Aberdeen, WY. to Randall "Red" and Winona Taylor.  He was married to Charlotte Tweed for many years.

Dwight worked as a bricklayer for many years.  He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them.

Survivors include his wife, Charlotte; his children, Amy (Brad) Dionysius of Beloit, WI. and their children, Randy and Sara Waters; Dwight Taylor, Jr. of DeKalb and his son, Nicholas Taylor; Josh (Andrea) Taylor of  Sycamore and their children, Landon and Kyla Taylor; Cory Tweed and his children, Madeline, Robbie and Brandon; Richard (Elizabeth) Crest and their children, Steven, Alexander, Victoria, Robert, William, and Jaclyn; Gerald Crest and his children, Iziah, Kaley, Elijah and Jace; his siblings, Jeweldean (Gary) Drechney and their sons, Guy and Troy; Randy (Dona) Taylor and their daughters, Frankie, Billie and Toni and son, Scott; Jimmy Taylor and his children, Josh and Nikki; his cousins, Adam Cutshall and Ronnie Mear; and numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Randall "Red" and Winona; brother, Scott Taylor; sister-in-law, Barb Taylor; brothers-in-law, Guy Voss, Sr. and David Tweed.

His visitation will be on Sunday, October 27th from 2:00-4:00 PM at the Butala Funeral Home and Crematory, 1405 DeKalb Ave., Sycamore, IL. with a memorial service beginning at 3:00 PM.
