Doris L. Bolander, 91, of Sycamore died April 6, 2025 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on July 1, 1933 in Sycamore IL. to George and Marie (Naker) Hall.  She married Sherman Bolander on September 5, 1954 in Sycamore.

Doris worked at Seymour of Sycamore for 25 years.

Doris loved spending time with her family.  She enjoyed cooking large meals for the whole family, even taking hot meals to the farm fields. She also loved traveling with her husband.

Survivors include her (4) children, Dale (Jan) Bolander, Kevin (Pam) Bolander, all of Sycamore, Carol (Jim) George of DeKalb and Glenn (Barb) Bolander of Sedona, AZ; 12 grandchildren, Quinn (Jerrod) Sifford, Connor Bolander, Erik (Amber) Bolander, Kelly (Phil) Meyers, Katie (Ryan) Friel, Rich (Jovan) George, Wes (Renea) George, Clint (Katlyn) George, Justin (Kelsey) Bolander and Josh (Rachel) Bolander, Christy Miklas and Victoria (Steve) Pompeo.  Doris was also survived by (1) Brother - Marvin (Roberta) Hall, (2) brothers-in-law Orrin Vandeburg and Roger Oltman, and (1) Sister-in-law Marjorie Lyons.  Doris dearly loved her 24 great grandchildren.  She felt blessed to have many nieces and nephews as well as many more great nieces and nephews.

Doris was pre-deceased by her loving husband of 54 years - Sherman. Also preceded were her siblings - Richard, Marion, Evelyn and Dorothy.

Her visitation will be on Friday, April 11th from 4:00-8:00 PM at the United Methodist Church, 160 Johnson St., Sycamore, IL.

Her funeral service will be on Saturday, April 12th at 11:00 AM at the United Methodist Church in Sycamore, officiated by Dr. James Horvath.  A luncheon will follow the service at the Church and burial will be after the luncheon at the Genoa Township Cemetery.
