Donnabel Baker, 93, of Amboy formerly of Sycamore, IL died on December 28, 2023 at her home.

She was born on November 14, 1930 in Sycamore, to George and Helen (Baker) Robinson.  She married Everett Baker, Sr. on July 23, 1949.

Donnabel worked for General Electric in DeKalb, retiring after many years of service.  She liked to ride motorcycles, go horseback riding, reading, crocheting and enjoyed going to casinos.  She loved her family and will be dearly missed.

Survivors include her husband, Everett Baker, Sr.; her children, Larry (Diane) Baker, Mary (John) Houghtby, Jean (Dewey) Barnes, Judy (Jim) Burnett and Everett (Pam) Baker, Jr; daughter-in-law, Debbie Baker; her grandchildren, Marci (Scott) Lilly, Keith (Jody) Baker, Sarah Baker, Aric (Dawn) Yates, Aaron Yates, Angie (Mike) Allen, Edie Ellis, Natalie Kaiser, Christine Jill Poff (fiance-Brian), John (Rie) Houghtby, Jr., Donna (Brandon) Engh, Jason (Kimberly) Barnes, Dewey (Sheryl) Barnes, Jr., Matthew (Lynday) Burnett, Darin Baker, John Hill and Alissa Blanton; numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren and two sisters-in-law, Lois Robinson and Sherry Robinson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three sons, John Baker, Tom Baker and Terry Baker; two grandsons, Cory and Kit; and two brothers, Floyd Robinson and Glen Robinson.

Her visitation will be on Friday, January 5th from 11:00 M -12:45 PM at the Butala Funeral Home, 1405 DeKalb Ave., Sycamore, IL.  with a funeral service beginning at 12:45 PM at the Funeral Home.  Burial will be at Fairview Park Cemetery in DeKalb, IL.
