Donna Rae (Johnson) Mathey, age 91, of DeKalb, IL, beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother, passed away peacefully on January 28, 2026.

Donna was a longtime member of the United Methodist Church and faith-filled person of daily prayer for her family.

She is survived by her children; Craig (Joyce) Mathey, Doug (Kristina) Mathey, Julie Terhark; grandchildren; Mary (Edward) Valdez, Hanna (Ryan) Mathey, and Brandon (Jessie) Hafer, Dylan (Mikala) Hafer, John (Ciara) Mathey, Erika (Jeremy) Day. Great-grandchildren; Liam, Levi and LeOra Mathey, Maisie and Hudson Hafer, Landon and Austin Hafer, and Jacob Valdez, and Henry and Lacey Day.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Eldon Mathey of 65 years of marriage, her parents, and brother.

A memorial visitation will be at the Sycamore United Methodist Church, 160 Johnson Ave., Sycamore, IL, on Friday, February 6th  from 10:00 - 11:00 AM, with her memorial service beginning at 11:00 AM.

The family invites all to a luncheon that will follow the service at the Church.

A Graveside Service will be at a later date at the Elmwood Cemetery in Sycamore.
