He was born August 5, 1926 in Chicago, IL to parents, Herbert and Libuse (Kanak) Worst.  He married his wife of 66 years, Barbara Papineau in Westchester, IL on January 12, 1957.

After serving in the Pacific in the U.S. Navy during WWII, Don attended five years of trade school to become a tool & die maker for 35 years.

Don enjoyed hunting, fishing, building, flying model airplanes and woodcarving.

Don was the beloved husband of Barbara; loving father of Jeanine (John) Manser of Elgin, Jeffrey (Peggy) Worst of Huntley and Julie Adkins of Littleton, CO; cherished grandfather of Melissa (Jason) Self, Mark (Taylor Gore) Manser, Daniel (Kristen) Worst, David Worst, Nicholas Adkins, Lauren Adkins and Andrew Adkins; adored great-grandfather of Owen and Noah Self and Ella, Jonathan and Olivia Worst.

Don was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Diane Worst.

Services will be private.
