Dolores I. Conley, 97, of Sycamore died Saturday, June 26, 2021 at the Dekalb County Rehab and Nursing Center.
She was born on June 11, 1924 in Chicago to Gustave and Sophia (Pelnar) Riemer. She married Martin James Conley on August 13, 1944.
Dolores was an active member of the Church of St. Mary in Sycamore. She was involved in the rosary guild and was an extra ordinary minister. Dolores was an avid gardener and loved caring and spending time with her family. She will be dearly missed.
Survivors include her children, Cathleen Conley, Maureen (Paul) Fawkes, Colleen (Marvin) Schenck, Beth Conley, Patrick (Patricia) Conley and Laurie (Gordon) Kowalski; grandchildren, James Conley, Michael Fawkes, Amy Fawkes, Nathan Schenck, Shaun Conley, Madison Conley and Daniel Kowalski; great granddaughter, Sophia Fawkes; sister, Janet Broucek and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 2006; son, Tim Conley in 2010; two brothers, Bob and Paul Riemer and sister, Marilyn Edwards.
The family would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Journey Care Hospice who made mom's last days ones of peace and comfort- especially Linda, Karen, Kelsey Chaplain Steve and many other staff who helped us all navigate her last days.
A funeral mass for Dolores and her brother Paul G. Riemer (who died on March 25, 2021) will be celebrated on Friday, July 2nd at 10:30 AM at the Church of St. Mary, 244 Waterman St, Sycamore, IL. 60178, with Fr. Carl Beekman officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Sycamore.
