On Saturday, March 29, 2025, Dennis Schaffner, 76, passed away peacefully at home with family and friends by his side.

He entered this world on August 21,1948, was raised in Sycamore, attending schools and making Sycamore his lifelong home.

Grieving family includes his daughter Shannon (Jason) Peckonis, his granddaughter Lily Pecikonis, sister Wendy (Luis) Corona, brother Jeff (Sheryl) Schaffner and brother-in-law Ron (Mary) Floit, along with extended family including many nieces, nephews and cousins who will miss his love and humor.

Preceding Denny in death was his wife, Connie Diane (Floit), his parents John & Lois Schaffner, a sister-in-law and brother-in-law Sandy (Floit) & Ken Buell as well as uncles, aunts and cousins.

He will rest eternally beside his loving wife in Elmwood Cemetery in Sycamore.
