Dennis Geovanny Martinez was born on September 10th, 1988 and passed away unexpectedly with no known cause at 36-years old on January 31st, 2025.

Dennis had lived most of his life in both Sycamore and Elgin, IL, having graduated from Sycamore High School in 2007.

Dennis can be easily described as a family man. Always reaching out to his 3 younger siblings and showering his mother - Belgica - with constant love and attention. The impact of Dennis's vibrant smile, joyous laughter and meticulous appearance will forever be remembered by the family he's left behind. Including his mother Belgica, sister Nereyda, brother Charly, youngest sibling Brandon, three nieces, two nephews and most importantly his son Donovan.

Dennis experienced battles with addiction but had found the strength to overcome these struggles having spent the past 3+ years entirely sober. A true testament to the strength and resilience he possessed and his devotion to bettering himself for his family and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday February 15th, 2025 at the Butala Funeral Home, 1405 DeKalb Ave Sycamore, IL 60178. Visitation will begin at 1 PM with the service starting at 2 PM.

Anyone who wishes to celebrate the life of Dennis and/or show support to his loving family is welcome to attend.

Se va a tener un servicio conmemorativo el sábado 15 de febrero de 2025 en Butala Funeral Home, 1405 DeKalb Ave Sycamore, IL 60178. El velorio comenzará a la 1:00 pm. y el servicio comenzará a las 2:00pm.
