Tudy Gum, 89, of Genoa died Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on July 31, 1932 in Amboy to Herbert and Ella (Eisenberg) Halsey. She was married to Gerald W. Gum for 71 years.
Tudy was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Genoa for many years. She loved to travel and enjoyed meeting a variety of people. She truly cared for every person she met. Tudy was also the perfect homemaker- caring for her family and friends, cooking delicious meals, gardening and having a clean comfortable house to call home for all to enjoy.
Survivors include her husband, Gerald; her children, Lorene (Brad) McIntyre, Debra Gum, Vanessa (Jim) Fowler and Richey Gum; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; brother, Terry (Bev) Halsey; 2 sisters-in-law, Joanne Lancaster and Rojean Gum; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Jeff; granddaughter, Rebecca; sister, Lee; brother, Bob; sister-in-law, Judy; brothers-in-law, Robert, Dwene, Terry and Donald.
Her visitation will be on Tuesday, March 8th from 4:00-6:00 PM at the Trinity Lutheran Church, 33930 N. State Road in Genoa. Her funeral service will begin at
6:00 PM with Rev. William Gauger officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to her family, for them to determine a charity at a later date. Arrangements were completed by the Slater-Butala Funeral Home, Genoa, IL.
