David L. Lloyd, 67, of Delavan, WI and Sycamore, IL died unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 25, 2025.

He was born on November 20, 1957 in Sycamore to Charles and Helen (Wiseman) Lloyd.  He married Diane (Schamberger) Kennett on September 14, 2024.

David worked at Horizon Displays in DeKalb for over 20 years and retired from Sycamore Containers after many years of service.

Dave's first love was his boat, unofficially named "Diane's Competition" and his happy place was on Lake Delavan and in his garage bar.  He had the biggest heart and anyone that knew him, loved him.  He was the guy you would call for advice or a helping hand, and he would always be there.  He loved music of all genres and knew the words to every song.  If he wasn't talking, he was singing.  He cherished Tuesday nights hanging out with his friends at the Lost Mine.  He was everybody's "ole buddy Dave".

Survivors include his wife, Diane; daughters Sarah Lloyd, Amanda (William) Burns and Emily Lloyd; stepsons Trevor Fildes, Matthew Kennett and Dan Paul; stepdaughter Zoe Paul; 4 grandchildren; two sisters Christine (Maurice) Erickson and Sandi Fidler; brother Arthur Lloyd; nieces Lisa (Brian) Reidl and Angela (Ryan) Guarino; nephews Paul Clark, Jeremy Lloyd, and Vaughn Erickson; and his loyal dog Remi, along with a host of dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; maternal grandparents James and Myra Wiseman; paternal grandparents Charles and Calla Lloyd; brother Chuckie Lloyd and brother-in-law James Fidler.

His visitation will be on Saturday, March 1st from 2:00-7:00 PM at the Butala Funeral Home in Sycamore, IL.

A memorial has been established in David Lloyd's name in care of the Butala Funeral Home, 1405 DeKalb Ave., Sycamore, IL. 60178.
