David G. Klepitsch, 63, of DeKalb died on Friday, October 8, 2021 at his home.

He was born in Elgin, IL to Ferdinand and Mary (Herner) Klepitsch.  He married Heather Beers on May 18, 1985.

Dave worked for many years as a career counselor at various small colleges in Illinois.  His later work was as a fundraiser and consultant to small non-profit organizations.

He was an avid painter, working in acrylics as a medium.  Many people were recipients of his hand-painted greeting cards.  Dave also followed politics closely, and participated in campaigns for local politicians.

He is survived by his wife, Heather Klepitsch; a brother, Fredric (Lisa) Klepitsch; fond uncle of numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Mary Klepitsch; and his sister, Paula (Klepitsch) Karales.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
