Darlene J. Thorson's Obituary
Darlene J. Thorson, 94, of the DeKalb area died peacefully on Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at the Dekalb County Rehab and Nursing Center.
She was born on June 20, 1927 in Sycamore to Roy and Helga (Johnson) Bennett.
Darlene loved to play cards and do a variety of different puzzles. She enjoyed growing beautiful flowers and keeping a well manicured lawn. She will be dearly missed by her loving family.
Survivors include her daughter, Diana (Dave) Keys; four grandchildren; several great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; her brother, Gary Bennett; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Otto Thorson; one son, Michael Thorson; her parents; and ten siblings.
Her private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Arrangements were completed by the Butala Funeral Home and Crematory in Sycamore.
