Darlene C. Hansel, 84, of Huntley, IL died June 3, 2025 at her home.

She was born on June 11, 1940 in Chicago to Raymond and Lorraine M. "Sis" (Joerger) Joos.  She was married to Robert Hansel who died October 10, 2003.

Darlene was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ in Harmony, IL.  She loved to go fishing and especially enjoyed to go golfing.

She is survived by her 3 children, Donald Hansel (Jamie Ullmark), Karen (Michael) Phillips and Kathy Hansen; 9 grandchildren, Michael (Sarah) Phillips, Christopher (Darcee) Phillips, Douglas Phillips, Krystal Phillips, Joseph Phillips, Tamie Hansen, Tanya Hansen, Samantha Hansel and Erika Hansel; and 13 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert and her parents.

Her visitation will be on Tuesday, June 10th from 2:00-4:00 PM  at the Slater-Butala Funeral Home of Genoa.  Her funeral service will begin at 4:00 PM  at the funeral home with Rev. David Bateman officiating.
