Danielle Mary Jay-Kirschenbaum's Obituary
Danielle Mary Jay-Kirschenbaum, 74, of Sycamore died Thursday, June 9th, 2022, at Central Dupage Hospital in Winfield, IL.
She was born October 3rd, 1947 in Detroit, MI, to Roman and Harriett (Hozner) Jay.
Danielle married Richard Barry Kirschenbaum on August 12, 2012.
She received her Bachelor of Arts degree at Eastern Michigan University (1969), her Master of Arts degree at the University of Cincinnati (1971), and her PhD from the Texas Woman's University (1984).
Danielle taught dance at Eastern New Mexico University from 1971-1979. She was a Professor and Professor Emeritus of dance, at Northern Illinois University from 1979-2012.
Survivors include her husband, Richard; her brother, Lonny Jay; her sister, Roberta (Frank) Pavia; her sister-in-law, Kay Dean; and her nieces and nephews, Laurie (Wayne) Corners, Debbie (Bryan) Schroeder,
Michelle (Steven) Jay-Russell, Frank Pavia, Jr., Brian Pavia, and Lisa (Jeff) Nieman.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her sister-in-law, Rebecca Jay.
Her visitation will be on Saturday, July 2nd, from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM, at the Butala Funeral Home and Crematory, 1405 DeKalb Ave., Sycamore, IL 60178.
