Dale Alvin Floyd, 81, of Westmont, IL died Sunday, October 5, 2025 after an 8 years journey with Alzheimer's.

He was born on Saturday, August 5th, 1944 to the late Dean Floyd and the late Orvilla Floyd Fisher.

Dale attended Riverdale High School in Port Byron, Illinois. Served our nation and is a veteran of the US Army. He owned and operated a lumberyard and dairy farm in Wauzeka, WI. He was a realtor in Elgin, IL and founder and retired owner of Dale Floyd Land Surveying, LLC in Geneva, IL. He was a faithful servant of God by being an elder, usher and choir member at St. John Lutheran Church in Sycamore, IL.

He was preceded in death by his father, mother, two brothers and sister.

Dale is survived by his wife of 55 years Ronda, his two daughters Tara (Gary) Griffin and Amber (Chris) Floyd, his grandson Brady Griffin and many nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received 10:00 am to Noon on November 12th at St. John Lutheran Church in Sycamore, IL.

Services will be held at St. John Lutheran Church, November 12th at Noon with Pastor Steve Wagner officiating.
Internment will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery, Sycamore IL.

In Lieu of flowers, family requests contributions be made to Trinity Lutheran Church or the Alzheimer's Association.
