Cynthia A. Schoepp, 70, of Sycamore passed away on March 22, 2026.

She was born in Chicago on November 15, 1955.  The daughter of her loving parents, Edward and Eva Haich.  Cindy married Ross Schoepp on September 3, 1977.  They lived in Elk Grove Village, IL and moved to Sycamore, IL in 2019.

Cindy worked in logistics through the years but her main focus was raising her two boys, Brian and Ken.  She did a fine job- considering she often had to play both parenting roles due to her husband's work schedule.

Nothing brought more joy to Cindy than visiting with her enormous family which hailed from North Dakota.  At last count she had over 75 first cousins.  She looked forward to and rarely missed family get togethers.

Cindy taught us, above all, what truly matters.

In her life, family and relationships were never an afterthought- they were the center.  We have learned to take the time to spend with loved ones and nurture those relationships. Don't ever let distance hold you back: get in a car and go.  Love your spouse truly and unconditionally, and always be up for adventures.  Teach your children the importance and value of family by example and by providing opportunities to get together. Spoil your grandchildren with love and a well stocked candy drawer.  Value those connections and acknowledge their importance.

While her battle with cancer does not define her, the approach she used does.  For twenty years, Cindy showed us that attitude matters.   She faced each challenge with strength, determination and a remarkable positivity that lifted everyone around her.

Cindy is survived by her devoted husband, Ross of 48 years; she was a loving mother to Brian Edward (Lauren) Schoepp and Kenneth Joseph Schoepp (Annie Miller); a wonderful grandmother to Wesley Burton Schoepp, Nathan Edward Schoepp and Eleanor Grace Schoepp, along with bonus grandchildren, Kayley Miller and Jackson Miller; a dear daughter to Eva Haich; fond sister of Edith (Raymond) Bianchi, Dana (Joan) Haich and Ann (Marty) Singer; and a special aunt to her many nieces, nephews and dozen of cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father, Edward Haich; brother, Keith Haich and daughter-in-law, Michelle Schoepp.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, April 25th from 12:00-3:00 PM at the Butala Funeral Home, 1405 DeKalb Ave., Sycamore, IL 60178.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to breast cancer research (any foundation of the donors choice).
