Clifteen "Teena" Deann Beach was born to Clifford and Carolyn Beach on January 29, 1963 in Belvidere, Illinois.

Teena left this world on the afternoon of Sunday, November 21, 2021 with family beside her.

She lived in the Genoa-Kingston area for most all her life, graduating from high school there in 1981. Teena loved the outdoors, whether it was gardening or playing ball with the neighborhood kids who filled her yard every summer or sitting on the river bank catching trees. She could be found in the bleachers all summer long rooting for her grandkids playing baseball and sneaking twizzlers to the team. Teena couldn't help but grab your attention when she entered a space, she was vibrant and energetic and did everything to the max. She was the kind of woman to always stop and help, whether she knew you or not. Teena loved her community and the people in it, whether it was the homecoming parade, Genoa Days or the lighting of the town Christmas tree, she was there and happy to see you! She would often reminisce about her younger days sharing more of that community pride as she did, as well as a deep and loving pride for her family while she told stories of visiting the farm in Tennessee and the many things she learned there.

She had great love for the friends she had made over the many years and chapters of her life and a sincere appreciation for the memories they made together along the way.  Her greatest joy in life though came from seeing her grandsons smile and laugh.

She leaves behind a son, Michael Beach; a daughter, Shannon McDowell (Bobby Drengacz) and two grandsons, Brayton and Keion Miracle. Teena had chosen to donate her body to science upon her passing and now that she has finished helping one last time lets gather to celebrate her life just as she lived it!

Please join us on Saturday, April 30 to say our final farewells. We will gather at the Kingston Cemetery at 11 am for a small graveside service, followed by a potluck picnic at the Kingston Park. We will be gathering at the building on the east side of the park, please feel free to bring any baseball gloves, horseshoes, fishing poles or anything else you might enjoy at the park!

Anyone who is able to bring a dish for the potluck is very much appreciated, pulled pork sandwiches will be provided. Teena always loved the outdoors, especially Kingston Park, so it only seems fitting to celebrate her life as she lived it, outside and on the go!
