She was born on May 30, 1927, in Long Prairie, Minnesota, to Amelia and Daniel Andersen.

Claren was married to her beloved husband, Donald, for 68 years, and together they built a life centered on faith, family, and service. She was a devoted wife, mother, and woman of faith whose life was marked by kindness and quiet generosity.

She is survived by her daughter, Joanne Tallon of Sycamore; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Steven (Shannon) Tallon of Itasca, Illinois; Michele (Jordan) Munson of Elmhurst, Illinois, and their daughters, Evelynn and Alice; Brad (Priscilla) Tallon of Chicago, Illinois, and their daughter, Nayeli; three nieces — Susan (Roger Nelson), Barb (Gary Potter), and Carolyn (Rick Kuhn), daughters of John and Betty Dahl of Benson, Minnesota; and three nephews — Larry (Roberta) Schroeder and Corey Schroeder, sons of Bob and Pat Schroeder of Little Falls, Minnesota, and Daniel (Cathy) Andersen, son of Ed and Ellen Andersen of Eugene, Oregon — along with many extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Amelia and Daniel; her husband, Donald; her daughter, Janette; her granddaughter, Mary Elizabeth; and her siblings, Helen Peterson and her husband and son, Bruce; Eleanor Schultz and her husband; and Ed Andersen and his wife.
