Cindy L. Goad, 78, of Kingston died October 22, 2025 at her home.
She was born on January 15, 1947 in Sycamore to Roy and Bessie (Bennett) Wyke. She married Bill "Wilbur" Goad on June 10, 1966 in Kingston.
As a "domestic engineer", Cindy built a home filled with warmth, love and the sweet scent of fresh-baked goods. Her happiest moments were spent in the kitchen, surrounded by her grandchildren, creating unforgettable memories. Whether it was teaching them her secret recipes or helping them mix up a vibrant batch of slime, she found joy in every shared moment.
Her grandchildren will miss her famous ice cream creations and her homemade pizza they prepared together. They will cherish the memories of her kind spirit, her playful heart, and her unwavering support.
Survivors include his four sons, Billy (Mary) Goad, Kelley (Angie) Goad, Chris Goad and Josh (Pauline) Goad; her daughter, Courtney (Dan) Harkness; 9 grandchildren, Danisha, Maggie, Halea, Hannah, Cody, Lucas, Mary Bridget, Oliver and Dylan; one great-granddaughter, Emilea; and her sister, Karen (Jeff) Olson.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Bill.
A memorial service will begin at 3:30 PM on Monday, November 3rd at the Butala Funeral Home, 1405 DeKalb Ave., Sycamore, IL. with Rev. Gary Roca officiating.
Her visitation will follow from 4:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home on November 3rd.
Burial will be private.
