Charles Stanley Gullberg, 84, of Sycamore, IL. passed away on Thursday, August 20, 2026 with his two daughters and two grandchildren by his side.

He was born on December 8, 1941 to Stanley and Dorothy (Kebil) Gullberg.  He attended Sycamore High School - Class of 1959.

Charles was a US Navy Veteran, serving on the 60th USS Shangri-La (CV-38).  He was the proud owner of Gullberg and Haines Furniture Store in Sycamore.  Later known as Gullberg and Johnson Furniture Store.

His genuine Christianity led him to share it with those in need. He was dedicated to his family and many dear friends.

He was quite fond of all types of fast cars, especially Chevys.

Survivors include his daughters Libby Gullberg-Stach and Inger Lynn Gullberg and their mother, Bonnie Elias.  He is also survived  by his loving grandchildren Miles Stach and Kyla Stach, and their father Tim, along with his sister Janice (Richard) Gullberg Dahm.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Peter R. Gullberg (12/3/2023).

His Celebration of Life will be held from 6:00-10:00 PM on December 10th, (honoring him on his 85th Birthday) at Ski's All American Pub, 1001 W. State St., Sycamore, IL.
