Catherine M. Omachel, 81, of Sycamore, IL died on January 5, 2025 at NW Medicine- Kishwaukee Hospital in DeKalb.

She was born on October 27, 1943 in Chicago to John and Georgina (Marks) Heffner.

Catherine worked at Lutheran General Hospital as a secretary in the Oncology Department for 38 years.

Survivors include her sister, Patricia (John) Puccinelli; two nieces, Christine Wassell and Sheree Puccinelli; two great nieces, Brooklyn and Cassidy and one great nephew, Lucas.

She was preceded in death by her father, John Heffner; her mother and step father, Georgina and Henry Pierre and one sister, Denise Murphy.

Her services will be private.
