Carol J. Schmidt's Obituary
Carol J. Schmidt, 85, of DeKalb IL, passed away peacefully on Sunday March 8, 2020.
She was born July 15, 1934 in Elgin, the daughter of Albert and Ethel (Magnus) Klages. She married William H Schmidt on April 26, 1953 in Elgin.
Carol is survived by her sons: Bill (Lorna) Maple Park, Russ of Lockport, Doug (Loretta) of Somonauk, and Rick (Joyce) of Kirkland. Ten grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, sister in law Karen (Willard) Allen of Elgin, numerous nephews, nieces and a family of friends.
She was predeceased in death by her husband in 2016, son Timothy in 1975, sister and parents.
The family would like to thank Dr Thakkar, the staff at Kishwaukee Northwestern Hospital, Dekalb County Nursing Center and JourneyCare Hospice for their compassion and care of our mother.
Due to the COVID 19 restrictions, a memorial service will be held at a later date at Salem Lutheran Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be directed to Salem Lutheran Church, 1145 Dekalb Ave Sycamore IL 60178.
