Carol Jean Rogers, 75, of DeKalb, IL died on June 19, 2026 at Oak Crest in DeKalb.
She was born on January 16, 1951 in DeKalb to Kenneth Frank and Ilene (Davis) Brown. She married Ronald E. Rogers on August 26, 1972.
Carol was employed at Ideal Industries where she met her husband Ron, and later worked at the DeKalb County Health Department, Reliable Custom Draperies, and the First National of DeKalb (Castle Bank/FNBO) where she spent the majority of her career.
She was a faithful member of the Christ the Teacher Parish in DeKalb.
Carol enjoyed reading, sudoku, puzzles, trips to the casino with her daughter-in-law, and attending live theater. She also enjoyed traveling, especially to Door County, Wisconsin.
Survivors include her husband Ron; sister Connie Weaver; her son Scott (Meredith), and grandchildren Nick and Brooke Rogers; brothers-in-law John (Diane) Rogers and Bruce Rogers; sisters-in-law Eileen (Rodney) Long and Julie Rogers; nieces/nephews Mark Rogers, Joel (Beth) Rogers, Lori (Dan) Helfrich, Emily (John) Baker, Laura (Arthur Whaley) Weaver, Kimberly (Wahbeh) Tawil, and Nicole (Joshua) Gorteski, and numerous great nieces and nephews
She was preceded in death by her parents: Kenneth and Ilene Brown; sister Cathy Tooley; brothers-in-law Robert Rogers and Donald Weaver and her nephew Chris Long.
Her visitation will be on Wednesday, June 24th from 4:00-7:00 PM at the Butala Funeral Home, 1405 DeKalb Ave., Sycamore, IL.
Her funeral mass will be on Thursday, June 25th at 9:30 AM at the Christ The Teacher Catholic Church, 512 Normal Road in DeKalb. Burial will follow at the Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Sycamore.
