Brenda S. DeFrane, 64, of Sycamore died suddenly at her home on November 6, 2023.

She was born on November 24, 1958 in DeKalb to Charles and Billie (Roberts) Hillenburg.

Brenda was a avid Nascar fan, a die-hard Chicago Cubs fan and enjoyed watching all the Chicago sports teams play.

Brenda will be dearly missed by her mother, Billie Hillenburg; her son, Grant DeFrane; sister, Jaye (Kip) Wood; nephew, Sean Wood; niece, Brittney Wood; two great nieces, Savanna and Mackenzie; four aunts, Carol (Fred) Dortmann, Jeanette (Billy) Harris, Janie DeWild, Lawanda Kay Box and Sheila Dunlop; and numerous cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Hillenburg; her paternal and maternal grandparents and several aunts and uncles.

Her visitation will be on Thursday, Nov. 16th from 11:00-1:00 PM at the Butala Funeral Home in Sycamore.  A memorial service will begin at 1:00 PM with Rev. Steve Persson officiating.  A private burial will follow the service at the Elmwood Cemetery.
